A year or so back I am pretty sure I had in my posession an action that would turn a folder of images into a single document of separate layers. And now I have lost it, and need it.

Does anyone know where I can go to find that action???

Thanks, Dale

I know how you can make one easily. You need to make a master document that will hold all the layers. Then make an action that consists only of Duplicate Layer with the master document as the destination. Run that action on folder as a batch. All there is to it.

Hey, that’s great. I was able to set up an action to do exactly what I wanted. Thanks

I created the "master" document and made an action that simply did a Layer/Duplicate Layer and used the "master" document as the destination of the menu command.

I never realized that you could specify where the Duplicate Layer WENT. And I have always used the Automate/Batch feature to process a folder of images and put the processed versions into another folder, rather than use None as the Destination and have the action itself determine that the result goes into the already open "Master" document. Thanks again!
