Hi,

Im trying to compress an image to jpg format. I am using low quality (4). In the previewer, it says the size will be around 7 k. But after the file is saved, it weigths about 15 k. I mean, I did a test with a 1×1 image, and it was weighting 9k. What’s the problem ?

Thanks,

Vince

Are you using Save As or Save for Web?
The latter will produce the smallest files.

Sounds like you are including an embedded colour profile…

Thanks,
I’ll use Save For Web for now on. But it’s still weird. I’m using default properties, I didnt change anything but quality. Here is a 1×1 pixel black jpg. I noticed that the thumbnail button was checked,
but I couldnt uncheck it. Anyway thanks you all for your help,

Vince
