I have an older DEC Celebris with dual PII processors running under NT4 with dual processor kernal. Does PS6 know how to take advantage of both processors? Is there any configuration items I need to be aware of?

thanks

Jim,

Yes, PS6 is multi-processor aware and should make use of your Dual CPUs just fine. Back when I first built my system, I ran it dual-boot between NT4 and Win98, opting for NT4 whenever I used Photoshop so that I could take advantage of my dual 450MHz PII configuration. Note that if you ever upgrade to PSCS, it will take quite a performance hit with dual PII processors…I maxed out my board to dual 550MHz PIIIs and it works OK with PSCS on WinXP so long as I’m not in a rush. 🙂
