I have PS 7 and also Elements 3. I’m wondering if there is an automated way I can print all the files in a folder, each on its own 4×6 sheet, with one command. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Record an action with PS. It’s just a macro recorder, you can edit later on the action tab (behind history, colors?). Kind of fussy about setting up the destination folder.

Or make a droplet which is an icon you drag files onto to run the action in that folder using Imageready. You won’t be able to mix landscape & portrait if re-sizing.

Thanks Paul, Sounds like that might work. Will the action record all the print settings and apply them to each image? How would the destination foder work? Hopefully the files wouldn’t be changed.

Oh yeah, that won’t matter since you don’t need to save <g>. Just set image size without resample. I doubt it’ll pick up anything inside the print dialogue but should use the last settings you printed with.

The contact sheet displays a group of thumbnails on one sheet which represent the images in a folder. I dont want to resize the images. I just want the printer software to print them at 4×6 regardless of what size they are. Which is why I wondered if the action would record the settings I made in the printer software. Probably not.
