I recently installed my version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 on my Samsung Syncmaster 955DF 19" Monitor.

But when I installed it a message comes up saying something like: "Profile "" is different from your color settings" or something like that, and then I have the option to: Ignore Settings, or Continue Anyway.

I chose Continue Anyway, but anytime I open up an image or anything, no matter what, it comes up purple. I selected a car and changed the color of the car and nothing changed at all. The whole screen that the image pops up in is always purple.

I can post pictures if it will help.

Thanks,
Greg

Run Adobe Gamma from the Control Panel and create a new monitor Profile

Wow, that worked. It didn’t help the color of my monitor or anything, but it made PS work correctly. THank you!

Steeda,

It didn’t help the color of my monitor or anything<<

Then you still haven’t created a GOOD monitor profile.

Run Adobe Gamma again and load the sRGB profile as your starting point. Don’t forget to change the text in the Description Box (say to ‘My Monitor’), follow the on-screen instructions and finally SAVE TO A NEW FILENAME – or you will over-write your existing sRGB profile.
