BlankI’m planning to install a Wacom Intuos2 on grandaughters iMac OS9 currently equipped with Logitech wireless mouse.

Can the Intuos2 tablet be used in combination with the Logitech mouse? Or should the Logitech software be removed and mouse useage be performed using the Intuos mouse?

Would welcome any and all suggestions on best way to install the Wacom tablet on the existing iMac/Logitech system.

TIA,
CharlesV

Apologies for dual posting —– was trying to delete the word "blank" at beginning of message — aparently caused when I changed message format to "plain text".

You should be able to have several input devices hooked to your machine. Works on PC so, of course, it will work on Mac (:-P).
Just try.

I think getting the latest drivers of them from versiontracker.com OS 9 part and seeing yourself is best.

Both companies are respected and several years in business, I think they tested the possibility which is high. E.g. if I bought a tablet, it would be wacom, mouse logitech vice versa.

Can’t help much from OS X , sorry

ps: keep an eye on "macfixit late breakers" in product info page of drivers needed.

I’m on a Windows platform, so my commentary may be meaningless, but I can’t see it being a problem. I have an Intuos2 and I keep it plugged in all the time. The tablet tucks away alongside my monitor when I’m not using it, and the mouse sits on the bookshelf above the monitor. I use a Microsoft optical for regular computing. All USB, no problems no conflicts.

Should not be a problem. The Intuos also comes with a cordless mouse which works only on the tablet itself. I don’t use the mouse at all, but when I had the Apple mouse connected to my Mac it worked fine with the Wacom.

On my Windows machine I have a wireless Logitech mouse which also works fine with my old Wacom ArtZ II tablet.
