Hi,
Is it possible to create an action to toggle the grid on and off? I have been unable to record one, so I wonder if anyone has a solution. I know there are keyboard shortcuts, so is there a way with an Action to send keyboard commands?

Thanks,
chuck

Chuck,

Use ‘Insert Menu Item’ from the flyout menu (small triangle at upper right corner of Actions palette).

I don’t see the advantage of using an action, it is as fast to hit CTRL+R than to hit a function Key to launch that action… or do you prefer using the action palette in button mode?

Anyways, Harron’s answer is the good one…

I have a feeling toggling the grid is not Chuck’s end objective, Pierre. I figure he has grand plans for an action, for which grid toggling is but a small step.

By the way, is it Ctrl+R now (in PS8)? It’s Ctrl+’ in PS7 and Alt+Ctrl+’ in PS6. So much for version-to-version consistency.
