I had to reinstall XP and am now trying to reinstall PS CS from an Update. I reinstalled PS 7 w/o problem and it is running as usual. However when I try to run CS (after an uneventful install) I get this message:
application could not be started, because MSVCRT10.dll not found. Renewed installation of the appliaction might solve this problem. Needless to say that it did not.
The file msvcrt10.dll is in 2 folders: F/Programs/Adobe and F:/Programs /Adobe/Photoshop 7, as well as on the Update disk. It is not
in the folder F:/Programs/Adobe/Photoshop CS. In this folder there is instead the file msvcrt.dll. Is it permissable to remove the wrong dll from the CS folder and copy the correct file from disk? Or will this create problems with the registry?
I should be grateful for any help to get CS running again. john goerlich
