I receive an error message when trying to reinstall my Photoshop 7.0. although it worked perfectly in Windows 98. I took my computer to a technician who deleted my Windows 98 and installed Windows XP Professional.

The error message reads as follows:

Component Move Data Error

Media name: Data
Component: App-Photoshop
Filegroup: App-Ps
File: PDFL50.dll
Error no.: -106

Thanks in advance,

Evelyn

This error is quite common on these forums (do a search) and could be due to a bad CD but also might be caused by doing an upgrade over Win98 rather than a clean install. If this is the case, you might have to do that. Upgrading over an older OS often causes problems. Check out the link below.
