Why upgrade to CS from PS7+Raw , help please.

I have ps7 plus the raw conversion. Just bought a new computer(money to burn), and am wondering what and why would upgrading do for me at this time. I am a digital photog and journalist. I tried to search the SC vs PS7, but found nothing to really convince me. Any advice?

In general…with the current market for digital cameras expanding, Adobe has become very aware of the numbers of people who want more photo editing tools in Photoshop…and have, and will continue to have, more tools for them. This CS version has lots of stuff for us.

And ACR has improved a lot since version 1.0.

In addition to the above:
16 bit support
Photofilters
ACR has camera calibration now (as well as support for additional cameras). The shadow/highlight adjustment is probably the most amaising change.

file management capabilities (verion que), the ‘comps’ feature for doing quick masks of different variations of your work, new filter system

I agree, all of the above, especially the shadow/highlight filter. That one is amazing!

note that version cue only comes with the cs suite. not with ps cs standalone.
