Hi

how can I round off a side of a rectangle by a circle? I want to substract the rectangle side by the circle.

Several ways, Don.

1) Use the pen tool to create the whole shape.

2) Create the ellipse with elliptical selection tool and save the selection. Select the rectangle and then load the elliptical selection with "subtract from selection" checked. Invert the selection and delete.

3) Create a layer mask

Another way is to make a selection. You can make a rectangle selection, and then change to the add mode in the options bar and then a circle selection will add to the rectangle.
