Unable to perform a selected procedure when running an automated batch process.

I have (in the past) had no trouble in asking Photoshop to complete a task once it has been recorded in the Actions table. However, now it appears it can no longer perform the action, this is the error report from the log file:

Error: The command "Convert Mode" is not currently available. (-25920)

Recently the settings for the Color Management where changed, would that affect the action? I recorded the action again today when considering this aspect, and tried to run it, but the same error (above) was displayed.

If I select one image file from the folder and run the action on it, it works without a hitch, but if the folder is selected, the same image returns the same error as above within the batch.

I have increased the Scratch Disk space and still the same error is displayed.

This action has been used for the past 4 years without a problem when used on Photoshop 4. I am now using Photoshop 7 and the image files have always originally come from Apple Mac’s in Tiff format, conversion and extension name added through a TransMac program onto my PC, then the action was performed, which would change the files from CMYK mode to RGB for processing the images ready for display on the website. All working from my C: Drive (80Gmb – 50Gmb available, 192 RAM), I have even tried working from the CD of images resulting with the same error being displayed.

Any advice would be greatly appreiciated.
