Can anyone tell me why when I save an image as a jpeg I can open it on my screen and all is fine. If I attach it to a e-mail and try to open it there it says it is corrupt and cannot open. If I send the recipient cannot open either. (If it do the same thing with a jpeg exported from Illustrator I don’t have this problem).

Thank you

Did you use the save for web option to create the jpeg? If not, try it. It will produce a smaller jpg that all programs should be able to read.

Hi, simply resave the jpeg and try opening it once before emailing it. Of course as Don mentioned you could try saving the image as jpeg thru save for web, which reduces the file size considerably.

and uncheck save thumbnails. could be a problem with the app on the recipients end when trying to open a jpg with an embedded thumbnail.
