I would like to increase the size of my image from film size (1×1.5" at 4000dpi) to screen print size. (It seems to be easier to size for printing.) Increasing width also increases height (if proportions are constrained), but ppi does not change, resulting in a huge file. How do I easily change size, but keep pixel dimensions the same?

Unchecked the image resampling button in the image resize dialog.

The whole "dpi" thing isn’t really a hard and set "size" as far as your image is concerned. It’s really just a unit of measurement.

Remove the tick from "Resample Image"

Turn off "Resample Image."

In English, "Resample Image" means "Change the number of pixels."
