I recently began working with ps 7.0 after photodraw 2000 crashed and now I’m looking for an effect which I have had in photodraw.

The effect is like the circulair gradient tool only not with colors but with transparancy.

so from the center of an image to the borders, the transparancy increases fluently.

is there a possibility to get this effect in photoshop 7.0? and if yes, how?

up till now nobody seems to know the answer.
so if anyone knows please answer
thnx in advance 🙂

You can edit not only the colors in the gradient tool, but the transparency as well. The transparency sliders are on the upper half of the "Gradient Editor" dialog box. If a slider is black, it’s opaque, and white is transparent. Greys would be levels inbetween.

To get to the gradient editor dialog box, select the gradient tool, and then click on the gradient which shows up in the options bar.

Don’t forget you can apply gradients to Masks, layers, and change the blending modes!
