Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is building a website, and he has asked me to make an image that he can use as a background, the idea is to have curved text that goes in a complete circle – then have one line of text that goes from left to right in the middle of the circle, finally embossing it to use as a background.

I really do apologize for the bad description, but if any can help a newbie, I really would be grateful, especially if you could point me in the right direction of any tutorials. I have searched in google looking for tutorials, but, I am overwhelmed at how much info there actually is and I just seem to be going in circles.

I am using Photoshop 7.

Many thanks guys,

Dave.

A site I help build a long time uses a logo I also created, as the background:
http://www.gsrwa.org/conference.htm

Is that sort of what you mean?? The text goes around the center part of the logo and was attached to a circular path.

I created the logo in Illustrator but use a bitmap image for the site.

You should be able to "attach text to path" in Photoshop CS, which is what you would need to do to get the effect. the help file would be very useful in this endeavor.

Peadge 🙂
