I’m looking for a graphic artist to help me design and layout for my upcoming CD. Since every aspect of the CD is coming out of my pocket and the culmination of my two years of sweat, I’m looking for the right person who has the right asthetic for this project, can do it quick and do it right technically so there are no surprises when I get the CD back from the dupe.
Packaging is 4/1, 8 page booklet or fold out panel (depending on the layout of the lyrics). The music is currently at the mastering house, and I have a duplication house in mind already – which I can send you a copy of their specs and the CD of the pre-masters. Email me a link to samples of your past work, and we can talk in more detail about the project and budget.
Asthetically, I’m looking for something whimsical yet absurd to reflect the music which is quirky acoustic euro-pop. Like if Urban Outfitters and the British tabloids were to collaborate and put out a clothing and lifestyle catalogue of their own (not sure if I’m making sense). Or another way to put it, the design and layout should be similar in tone to the artwork (but not necessarily the music) of the following albums:
Pulp – Different Class
James – The Best Of
Blur – The Great Escape
Flaming Lips – Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Fatboy Slim – You’ve Come a Long Way Baby
Smash Mouth – Astro Lounge
