I’ve created an image that I would like to use as a desktop but I’m not sure how to do that. What do I have to do to achieve this? Thanks.

Save it as a .bmp with the resolution of your monitor and place it in the Windows root directory, then right click on an empty part of the desktop, choose prorperties and then first screen should be for the background, select your file, choose apply and Bob’s your auntie.

You can also use "Active Desktop" and use a .jpg image for your desktop. It’s a smaller file size, so will take up less system resources to display.

No. It still has to be decompressed to be sent to the vid buffer. If anything, it will gobble more because of this.

And Active Desktop is a disaster.
