I have started a web design course and have been asked to create a background in PS or Image Ready. No drama there I just need to know how to go about this so I can slice the image into three parts and have the slices load properly into three frames. Top, main and footer acurately.

If anyone could give me some pointers, tutorials or URLs that would help I would appreciate it.

Slicing and dicing is not complicated, but I found it helpful to use Adobe’s "Photoshop 7 [my version] Classroom in a Book." ImageReady is your tool of choice if I remember correctly.

A good way to do slicing is to first drag guides to where you want the slices to be. Then select the slice tool and choose "Slices from Guides" in the toolbar.

Peadge 🙂
