Hi
I have always been able to open png files in Photoshop 7 but since a reinstall of PS7 it does not recognize these files.

It does not even appear in the drop down "save as" box.

I tried to force PS to open a png file by right clicking in explorer and clicking on send to Photoshop but the error message claims it is "not the right type of document"

Any clues please?????

I’m using Photoshop v6 under Windows XP. PNG does not show up as a ‘Save as’ selection when I have an image in CMYK mode. I believe the CMYK colorspace is too broad for PNG. Switching to RGB mode allowed me to save in PNG format.
