When I made a clipping path to an image in Photoshop, save it in EPS and place it in Illustrator 10, the image comes out clipped but with an additional big invisible box around it. I find it really irritating and the next time I reopened the .ai document with that image, the invisible extra box turned white. The funny thing is, it doesn’t happen to all the images I did. Only at random. Why? What’s wrong? I use the same steps. Can someone please help me???
Thanks!

Erin,

This happens if the clipping path touches the edges of the image canvass. Expand the canvass a few pixels and it will be fine
