(I don’t even know if Cartoon-izing is a real word, but that’s besides the point I guess) Okay, here’s what I want to do. I want to make this photo of myself look like it was actually drawn. I tried the Poster Edge Filter, the Stroke Blending option and what not, but it still doesn’t quite do what I want it to do. Anyone have a good idea? I’ve got PS 6.0, Windows XP Pro, Image Ready 3.0 (although I have no idea what to do with that last one). Thanks.

Search the web with google and you will find some suggestions. But nothing will take a photo and make it look like a Disney type cartoon.

www.dpreview.com and www.retouchpro.com generally have lots of suggestions (and downloadable actions) that you can examine and determine if it is what you are looking for.

I don’t think Segmation works with Photoshop 6.0. I think Photoshop 5.0 or 5.5 was the last version of Photoshop that Segmation works with. Sadly, Segmation development apparently ended with version 1.0.

I have Segmation and keep Photoshop 5.0.2 on my system just so I can still use it.

I don’t need to download the Segmation demo, because I bought it years ago. I will try installing it in my Photoshop 7 and see what happens. However, I heard reports years ago that Segmation wasn’t working in newer versions of Photoshop.

You might try using the Average filter (for the color effect) along with the liquify feature.
