I’m not a big newsreader/Usenet maven, but for the past week this group has been acting whacky on my newsreader.
I have my reader (Microplanet Gravity) setup to purge everything after 7 days, and usually when I open it up I read what interests me,
and hit "Mark all articles as read".
Then upon closing the program, I’ll usually hit "Purge & compact database". But for the past week, when I open the program…this Photoshop NG has over 4000 unread threads dating back to early March.
These are threads that I’ve read and purged ages ago, that have come back. So I hit "Mark all articles as read", and then "Purge & compact database"… and it catches up to the past week (and may stay like that for a bit)…
but then upon reopening the program later…something like 4693 threads have come back…dating back to March again!
And as far as I can see…I’ve changed nothing in the program’s settings. Anyone else getting this problem?
Anyone else know what could be causing it, and how to fix it? Thanks.
