Ive got CS, and I’m trying to open some JPEG images on a CD. I get this message coming up when I double click on them (they also won’t preview in the file browser):

"Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment is too short (the file may be trunicated or incomplete)"

I’ve got some PSD and TIFF files on the same CD and they seem to open OK.

I tried renaming some of these files – but with no luck.

Any ideas on how to get round this?

Can you open them with anything else? [e.g. IE or Windows Explorer]

Well, it sounds like the error message is telling you that the JPEGs are corrupt.

There are some tools around that are very un-fussy about the finer points of image formats and they might be worth playing with. I think Irfanview may be an option …
