Is it possible to increase the number of actions that are stored in the History palette? I have lots of RAM and would like to use some of it this way.

Photoshop Help, under ‘setting history options’ says:

‘You can specify the maximum number of items to include in the History palette and set other options that customize the way you work with the palette.’

But the text that follows doesn’t say how to specify the max. no. of items – and neither does the History Options dialog that you can reach from the History palette.

Using Photoshop 7 –

I’m going from memory here, but it’s under one of the "Preferences" sub-categories. Shouldn’t be too hard to find.

Are you just looking for History States in Edit/Prefs/General?

Type in a number.

That’s it! Thanks a lot. Now that I’ve seen it, I can’t imagine how I *didn’t* see it.
