Turning color photo’s into quality pencil drawings

I am using photoshop 7.0
I have a HP 450n computer with 512
I have a HP photosmart 7690
I can not get a quality reproduction of a color photo to B/W pencil drawing Does anyone know how I can get shading and halftones into the drawing? Thank you.

"Quality Pencil Drawing" can mean different things to different people. Can you post a link (or two) to example results you’re trying to reproduce?

Seeing the desired outcome will help in formulating suggestions to info you can use.
