Photoshop CS runs fine in the main account (adminstrator) of my Window XP Home system. But it could not run in my second one (Guest account). It starts with the loading process and then gives me this error message:

———————————————————— Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked. Use the ‘Properties’ command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
————————————————————

Then it closes itself. It’s bascally doing the same no matter I start the program itself or click on an image file assigned to be opened by it.

I turned off everything possibly ‘locking’ any file in Photoshop folder, even ‘Read Only’ attribute. It did not help at all. (There really isn’t much you could do in file Properties panel of WinXP Home).

So far I haven’t encountered any similar problem with other programs on the same system.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Give that second account admin rights.

Although adding administrator rights to other account is okay, that is probably not the desired thing to be giving to a "guest" account. When you installed the software, did it give you the option of installing just to the one account or for all users?

Yes, it really works. Thanks a lot.
