Few will remember but a year ago I asked around why PS7 seemed to get amnesia from time to time

…… where was I?

πŸ™‚

By amnesia I mean: it would load as if it was its first time and I would have to reload all settings.

Last week I think I nailed it and have been able to repeat the "fault"…… here ’tis

When I turn on my third HDD in order to back up files and I "DON’T" have PS open, all goes well……. then when I open PS again voila! it’s a brand new day for PS7. Provided I have PS open, it doesn’t happen …..

Hope this is at least a little helpful to folks

Cheers

Whenever that kind of thing happens to me, it always turns out to be a corrupted Preferences file. I always make a backup copy of it when it is good, and just rename the copy when I have a problem and make a new backup copy. That always works for me.
