Hi everyone,
I downloaded, installed, and played with the CS demo last week and quickly realized that I’m in over my head. My question is, is there a way to freeze the trial period so that I can get some books/tutorials? I’m hoping that I can uninstall it and then reinstall it when I’m ready and get the remaining 3 weeks left to truly test drive it.
I am brand new to digital photography and post processing. Yes I did a search and did not find this asked previously, so please no flamez if I am mistaken. Finally, I would not consider reformatting my harddrive to reinstall the demo, even though I read on another forum that only a low-level format would work.
Thanks,
Popa Tim

Nope. The 30 days starts when you open the application the first time and runs until the 30 days are up or you try to reset your system clock.

There is no way to "pause" the demo, like you said.

Unfortunately, only a format will actually let you reinstall the demo. Don’t try messing with the system clock, that will just lock the demo right away.

Fortunately, there are a million great tutorial websites out there for Photoshop that can get you started in the right direction. A couple out there are:

* The Gurus Network <http://www.gurusnetwork.com/tutorials/two_d/photoshop/> * Photoshop Techniques <http://www.photoshoptechniques.com> * Phong <http://www.phong.com>
* And many others… < http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8 &oe=UTF-8&q=photoshop+tutorials>

Have fun and good luck!

If you don’t get enough evaluation time, why not pop over to a local discount house or big box retailer and get a copy of Photoshop Elements. It’s cheap, and you can use it as long as you like. If you decide you need more later, you can spring for the full-size Photoshop CS. For most people, Elements is more than enough.
