Hi All,
I’m a newbie and apologise in advance if I’m bringing up a couple of old chestnuts but some archive searching hasn’t produced the goods so here goes:

First off I remember a brief but blissful period of using what I think was a beta of PS6 which gave the blend modes menu from the right click when using painting tools. I have been trying ever since to find a way to match this feature and I hoped that with CS it would finally be possible but no joy. Any suggestions?

Secondly I learned PS on a Mac originally and the one thing that constantly bugs me when using a Windows box is the way the spacebar hand tool shortcut doesn’t work when in adjustment dialogues. Instead of enabling me to pan around the image it ok’s the adjustment or toggles the preview or some other nonsense. Any fix known for this?

For the first one, try shift + right click- that should give you a drop down menu of blend modes I think. No idea about the second one though!

Dear Helen,
I think I love you, a thousand thanks! That one has been driving me nuts for years, I can’t believe I didn’t stumble across it myself.

Best Regards,

William.
