Use FileZilla!

I do use a FTP software to upload the pictures to the server. My real need is a program that will place images into the html of the web page as thumbnails that are 100 pixels in height and the larger pictures are 400 pixels in height. I can do it manually with Dreamweaver but I am needing a software that will do 100’s of them at a time. .RAPIDLY…. Thanks for the replies. Dick Ross

Irfanview can do something like that – and it’s freeware. Photoshop can too come to think of it… Do you mean insert into your own custom HTML?

Photoshop can create a web album quickly. You can define your thumbnail size as you wish, however, they do need to be the same thumbnail size. So, you could have a set of 100 pixel height thumbnails in one set of pages, with 400 pixel height for a second set.

I really appreciate all the input….however, my goal is three fold…I need to convert photos to 100 pixels height and 400 pixels height in large groups plus upload them to server PLUS find a program that will organize these photos in a web page for viewing. I use WS FTP to upload and EZ Thumbnails to convert to the specified sizes. Now the issue is to put the images (as many as100 at a time) into a html page in a quick manner. I know it is done… I see it on various web sites. See

Check to see what programs your web host provides for doing photos. Should be on Cpanel, if offered. If your host offers Fantastico, you can set up Gallery, 4Images or Coppermine with a couple of clicks.
If your host doesn’t offer those, you can install them yourself. I believe all are free/open source.

Look for a program where you can upload an image of any size and it will automatically resize/thumbnail to what you want.

You appear to be waiting for a tool that will do only the subset of the task that remains, when there are utilities, such as JAlbum, that will do the entire task.

I did indeed answer this need in Dreamweaver….using Commands/create web photo album… works very quick and does all the desired goals. 200 at a time!! Thanks to everyone. Dick Ross
