Hi,
I have about 100 images I need to resize and then resize again for thumbnails. Does photoshop offer this function? Can someone explain how to do it please or point me in the right direction. Much appreciated.

Thanks

Why not use freeware Irfanview. It does this and more with a couple of button clicks.

Yes, Photoshop offers this and more. You should use ‘Automate – Web Photo Gallery’ for this. You get your images and thumbnails, and all the HTML. If you do not need the HTML, just throw it away. Of course you can also write your own action, but why reinvent the wheel.

If you are using Windows XP you simply select the group of files you want to resize then right click them. Several options to resize are then offered. If this function is not available on your computer, it can be downloaded free from Microsoft as one of their "Powertools" (It may possibly work for Windows ME also)

I doubt it very much. I’d also be supprised if Photoshop could resize .psd files, but you never know!

Not sure what you mean about Photoshop and psd!! but I found the image resizer you mentioned at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppow ertoys.mspx It does not mention which pictures you can resize but I assume it will be jpg and gif?

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I completely forgot to mention that I need to add a small logo to each photo, the logo will be the same and in .gif format. Does photoshop offer that or should I liik at Irfanview? I am a bit of a graphics noob and I usually manually edit photos but it takes sooooo long.

Thanks

Irfanview certainly offers the facility to add some text, date and the (c) logo in a batch process.
