want to create a rectangle shape in photoshop which has border. I’ve done this in illustrator and flash and it’s very simple. is there an easy way to do the same in photoshop

Hi Will,

It is actually a bit more complicated in Photoshop. But very doable nonetheless.

Just use the Rectangle Shape Tool, draw a box, then use Layer Effects Stroke to add a border. If you only wanted the border, turn down Fill Opacity in the Layer Palette to 0%.
