How can I set the open dialog box to open at full screen (almost) and in thumbnails mode, instead of changing this setting each time I open PS or
bring up the dialog box?
PS7 Win ME.

Changed this settings in folders windows on explorer but they are not valid in PS open dialog box.

try this:

go into Windows Explorer and open a folder such as My Documents. Now choose View|Details. Along the top of the file listing area, you see Name, Type, Size, Modified. If you click any one of these, it will change how your files are sorted in the list. For example, you click Modified to sort your files by the date they were modified. Then change the view to thumbnails or any view you want…

Now…here’s the part that made Windows save this sorting information everywhere. Hold down the Ctrl key and click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the Window to close it. Reboot. Now whenever you run a Windows application that uses the File Open, Save, or Save As dialog boxes, the files are listed in order and type specified.

Tx dave but I’ve already tried that base on your post to a similar question and it didn’t work. Trying it again though.
P.s what about box size? I want it as big as possible obviously.

Works for window’s folders but not in PS 🙁
