Ok I have a Canon 20D that I would like to shoot in the raw mode. Now The problem is that I have Photoshop 7.0 and we all know that I can not put the raw in Photoshop 7.0. I do know that I can use the software from Canon and then change to tiff and take that to Photoshop. I don’t want to do that. I know that one of the later versions of Photoshop you can go from camera to hard drive with the raw and then to Photoshop.
OK the question is what version of Photoshop? and can I upgrade from Photoshop 7.0 . Are do I have to go out and pay the total new price of the latest version and just do away with what I have now.
Thanks for the time
Ron ( anyone have the url for Adobe Photoshop? )

Photoshop CS and CS have Camera Raw. Obviously you’d want CS2 if you upgraded and you can upgrade from v.4 onwards. But if you don’t want to upgrade go to www.pixmantec.com and download RawShooter Essentials which is, IMHO, better software anyway – and it’s free.

Hey Hec…. Is RawShoot2 a PS Plug-In or a stand alone app? And if Plug-In, PS7 compatible?

Thanks man.

RawShooter is a standalone but it doesn’t present a problem. It doesn’t eat memory and you just do what you need to do and save the file, then open in PS. I find it’s also quicker to work through a number of RAW files, save them, then open them in Photoshop than to open Photoshop and work through ACR.

Completely blank page in Firefox! That’s hilarious!
Should I tell them
<body onLoad="location.href=’index2.html’;"> doesn’t work in FF?
🙂

Works fine in my 1.0 version. Maybe you need to read the manual.
