I am currently at work and when I create a photoshop document in PS 7.0 on a Windows machine there are two small grey squares on the corner of my document that overlap the work. While not at issue at large sizes, they do not scale when zoomed in on. One has the "01" in it and the other has a little line drawing of what looks like mountains or a deformed envelope. They are located on the top left corner of my document. Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of these and what they mean?
Thanks,
Eric Thompson

You clicked the Slice tool at some point.

Go View/Show/Slices to turn it off.

Reading the help files does more than a question here.

I agree with Norbert, but I thought I’d comment. Then I checked in Help and I can’t improve upon:

A slice is a rectangular area of an image that you can use to create links, rollovers, and animations in the resulting Web page. Dividing an image into slices lets you selectively optimize it for Web viewing.
