Lovely work. The only thing I found that I thought / felt was wrong was a matter of what one could call artistic interpretation. The pale blond with the scraggy hair obviously was going for the dying waif look. The more natural skin tones you gave her put some health into the picture. It would have seemed more ‘natural’ to me for you just to even out her pale skin, leaving her with a nice almost corpse like white glow.

When doing glam shots of women, especially those who’ve done their own makeup, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on whatever line they stop with the colours and powders. The pouty brunette cutie had learned not to stop at the jaw line, but had forgotten that she had on a vee neck and let her makeup go at or just above the collarbone. Hard to get an even blend there, but worth the effort.

It was nice to see how much more glamorous a glam shot can be with some nice after work. Inspiring.

Welcome. I like the effect of before/after on the site.

If you hang around this NG for a bit, plus comp.graphics.apps.photoshop, I think you’ll learn a lot. You seem to be doing quite well with the learn-by- doing mode.

Thanks for sharing, and again, welcome.

Here again I empathize!

Yeah, well, if I were you, I wouldn’t worry about it. You won’t be on it. (©2005 FM…)
