Hi,

I would like to convert some AutoCAD drawings to .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or ..png format. These are floor map drawings. I need to convert them to one of the above formats for an Asset Tracking application (it uses web interface for display).

Obviouly I need clarity in the maps after conversion. I would like to know the best format before I convert these drawings.

Thank you.

It depends on your desired outcome, size or quality? Also, can we be sure the web app can display .png in all browsers?
My suggestion would be to save as .png, bring into photoshop, and then save them for web, adjusting quality as needed. If your drawings use very few colors (as I suspect they would if they are just floor plans), .gif is probably your best save for web option.
