Hi,
since 1 month I have problems with some dialogs in Photoshop 7. When I klick
e.g. on "levels" or on "print", the menu doesn’t appear on my pc-window. –
it es someware outside and I can only "enter" for further work. But not all dialogs don’t appear – e.g. the "Curves" does work. Does someone know what the trouble is?
Thanks, Artur.

Did you try erasing your preferences?
Did you download the 0.1 patch?

I’ll try it, thanks. Artur.

Did you have two monitors on your system at one point and then change to one?

You could try changing to a higher screen resolution or trashing/resetting the Preferences.

I just think of layers as sheets of glass or clear acetate stacked on top of each other. Each sheet of acetate has something painted on it. That’s the pixel data. Does this help you visualize it?

You are right! I have two monitors… and I changed a month ago for a moment to one monitor… it is surely the reason. Thanks a lot. A hope, I can resett the Preferences… higher screen resolution didn’t help. How can I resett the preferences?

From the Help file:

Do one of the following:
* Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or
Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop or ImageReady. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. * In Mac OS, open the Preferences folder in the System Folder (Mac OS 9.x) or Library folder (Mac OS X), and drag the Adobe Photoshop
7.0 Settings folder to the Trash.

New Preferences files will be created the next time you start Photoshop or ImageReady.
