I have an Adesso Cybertablet 12000 (same as Aiptek Hyperpen 12000 and Nisis G6 and probably others). I can’t get this to work with Photoshop CS2, or with Flash. On Photoshop brushes window, shape dynamics, I get a little "hardware alert" triangle (with exclaimation point).

The tablet test shows pressure sensitivity. I can draw in p-shop, just no pressure sensitivity. I’ve reinstalled drivers, downloaded latest from Adesso, no avail.

Anyone else have and solve this problem? Days of google searching have not gotten me any insites to what might be happening, and Adesso support is non-existant.

Thanks
Wendy

I’m sorry for your loss.

Generally the solution is to buy a tablet with good build quality and bullet proof drivers. As you’re fining out those two qualities only come with tablets marked "Wacom".

Thanks to those who emailed replies.

Just so this is out there for others, seems many of the graphics tablet varieties had trouble with the upgrade from CS to CS2, the old drivers worked for some tablets (luckily for the the Wacom users, theirs made the jump easliy), and others went scrambling to catch up.

I found lots of others in this boat at http://www.adobeforums.com/, and some drivers and patches that may work. I’ll try them out when I get the time, and maybe update with another reply.

For the guy that said I should buy the Wacom myself, please send $400 so I can get their 9×12 tablet.

That was me, and you don’t need that size unless you’re a CAD design artist.

Not true at all. I’m an artist and I use an intuos3 9 x 12. And believe me, I wish I had a Cintique.
Gee, and I don’t the first thing about cad.

Me neither, I just like to draw with sweeping movement. Can’t see why a cad like the one using cad would need that.

Generally, a smaller tablet is a lot less effort and you can map Wacom tablets to the screen size. A smaller tablet is also let likely to lead to joint pain or RSI. I use an A4 and that’s plenty big enough.

The reason for a CAD designer using a bigger tablet is usually because they’re using much bigger screens – i.e. in one place I worked – 24" – a pair.

Great thanks for the info. Glad there is something for everyone, and those who prefer the smaller tablets can have them

Hello Darling 🙂

Of course, you’ll use whatever size you prefer, but I just wanted you to be aware of possible problems. 🙂

Sounds like the H has made some bad choices and wants to prevent others from making the same mistake. Point taken, don’t choose size based on someone else’s preference, get what meets your own needs.

Dave would not have been a bad choice and others should not be prevented. Reading your philosophy further, proves to be promising
