Photoshop CS2 seems to allow someone to calibrate a camera profile precisely as to its color settings in Camera Raw. But it’s not clear to me just how one goes about doing that, nor is the manual any help.

Any suggestions out there?

Here’s one document,

The procedure is discussed more thoroughly in Fraser’s "Real World Camera Raw". I have not tried this procedure myself yet. There is no widespread agreement that it actually works, and frankly I’m a bit leery since it is based on a small number of squares on the Macbeth chart, and there is no way to judge the overall success.

Give it a shot, and post back here to let us know how it works out. —

I suspect it might be a bit more successful using the Hutch Colour Target (see the info on www.colourmanagement.net for example – note, this is a commercial site but the software uses the HCT and they have a useful colour management knowledge base).
