Hi,
I tried to make a photo presentation (call it a slide show if you want), and found out that at saving my presentation and viewing it afterwards my photos lost all the quality that it had befor (straight lines appear like a saw, colours bad etc.)

After writing 2 presentations including music to a cd I found that the menu that PS Elements created was very sharp, but the photo’s were very bad of quality and also, the music that I put to it was completely out of sync with the way that I defined in PS Elements.

Any idea what I did wrong ?

Regards,
Wots

Hi

Not sure what you did wrong, but if you are looking to do some slide shows, I would recommend the software called Proshow Gold.

It is cheap and so easy to use. You can do video, DVD, CD’s, throw in some music, design your own menu, they have all sorts of special effects with the pictures.

Once I started playing with that software I drop PS for slide shows very fast. You can download a trial version also before you buy.

Anyhow that’s my 2 cents of info for the day.

Hi

I would also suggest you look at Pictures to Exe. This works for PC and is very cheap. Check our the Barry Beckham website for tutorials. He is the master in the slideshow game.

OK, so if Barry Beckham is a master in the slideshow game he problably has a solution for my problem then….

Anyway: until I know that my slideshow cannot be established by using PS Elements I won’t install another application.

P.s. I also got the lesser quality by using MS Movie Maker, so I think it’s not apllication related.

Please help.

Regards.

HI,
I just tested Pro Show Gold.
Works perfect at editing, adding menus, good transisions etc. But, still: the quality of the pictures is lower when saved to DVD, played on TV (LCD) or on my PC DVD player……

Then the software isn’t the problem, you are. So, explain exactly what you’re doing…
