I found a picture that I made several years ago that had a text effect I really thought was cool but lost the action because of a computer crash, my question is short of looking at all the effects ,writing them down and rerecording all the steps is there any quick way to retrieve my action TIA

You should save and back up custom and downloaded actions. Then they won’t be lost in a crash

put the image on your website and folks here will be able to look at it and tell you how to reproduce it. Also, don’t you have the original .psd file that has the effects attached to it?
