Though a long time PhotoShop user, this is my first posting to this group.

I just upgraded to CS2 from version 7. Is there a way to import my old actions into CS2?

If not, is there a way to breakdown my old actions into discrete steps that I can view?

Thanks.

You can always break down an action by clicking the arrow by it. That will show you what is in the action. You may have to click arrows inside to see what the sub-steps do.

In theory, CS2 should read and act on actions from 7 and CS. I know moving from 7 to CS I didn’t have a bit of trouble. I have notice a bit of trouble moving from CS to CS2. I haven’t figured the logic out though. Most actions from CS ran just fine in CS2. A few didn’t run or didn’t always run.

I had to record them over again to get them to always work in CS2. Luckily I don’t have hugely complicated actions. My two most complicated have run just fine in CS2.

Something is odd there. I haven’t figured it out. So, bring them over from 7 and try them. If they work, great. If the don’t record them over.

Just copy over the atn file(s) and put into the Presets>Photoshop Actions folder
