I am curious, while I have some decent books for PS CS, I am curious if there are some good interactive courses on the internet I can take? I have done a google search and found some things. A lot of which is just plain reading with no supplemental exercises or anything of the such. So I thought I would see if any of you could recommend some good places to look up for some advanced items. I know the basics of PS and where everything is for the most part, just want to get into using the program for more things. I do a lot of web stuff and a lot of photography. Of course if it is free, that is a good thing, but I would be willing to pay a little bit of money if it is a good course. Again, maybe something interactive then just something that is a bunch of reading like a book. Thanks much and hope to hear from some of you!

There’s the curvemeister beginner’s curve class. Four sessions over four weeks, covering the basics of curves in RGB and Lab spaces, as well as a little HSB and CMYK.

although these are books, they may come fairly close to what you are looking for:
Katrin Eismann, Restauration and Retouching
and
Katrin Eismann, Masking and Compositing

There is also a third book by her, which I dont know personally, so I cannot comment on.

The Eismann books do exactly this: they are not for beginners and they dont just give you a reworded Version of the manufacturer’s manuals like may of these books do. Instead they are task oriented and provide very good guidelines and examples for applying PS on the tasks mentioned in the books’ titles, i.e. the tasks you will encounter daily. There are also supplemental Web sites where you can download many of the books’ images, so you can exactly follow the books’ guidelines and procedures.

These books will put you on the right track when you’re lost in all those menues and features PS provides

they’re not free, but IMHO very well worth the money
