Hi all,

i’m planning to buy the intuos 3 and before i do i just wanted to know if there is anyone here who has bought this and if so can you give me some feedback. My main application would be in photoshop.

how does it feel?
improvements over intuos 2?
are the buttons on the actually tablet really useful?

i was thinking of the 9X12 one but if do you think the 6X8 one would be enough. I’m won’t be using for work, just a personal thing hence the trade off on size.

and anything else really.

– thanks for any comments.

Don’t have one – just the poor cousin the Graphire. But a point I think is worth making is that bigger isn’t necessarily better – it all depends on how you draw. I have had comments from many that the large 9×12 is a pain to use, and your arm can get tied. So if you draw in large sweeping motions the 9×12 is for you, otherwise it’s not. Personally for my purposes the 4×5 is actually quite adequate.

Great.

Not a lot. The buttons on the tablet. The stylus is a little thinner and I like that. I think the tablet is nicer looking. I like the way it curves down where your hand rests. But if you already have an Ituos 2 (had one at work) I don’t think you need to change

I don’t use them but they could be. The scrolling pad thing is nifty.

YES! I used to have a big ArtZ II (which still works fine by the way). It was a pain because it was so large. I have an 8×6 now and it’s more than enough and doesn’t hog so much desk space.

I still have an Intuos2 6×8…. just a comment on the size thing. I used the huge ones at work, and all they did was take up space. My hand always tended to rest at the same spot anyway. I enjoy the 6×8 a lot more cause it fits in my lap, and I can use it like I was holding a sketch pad.
