Hi, I create an ad for a small grocery store each week and just updated to Photoshop CS, I run Windows XP Pro; a Dell Precision 330 Workstation, 1.5 Ghz Intel P4 processor, 1500 MB Ram, and two huge hard drives. I created a new file 17" x 11" and started building my ad by importing logo’s, header’s, and other files I had created in Photoshop 7 in the PSD format, it would rebuild the fonts when importing and look just fine…then I started bringing in new files, such as photos and using Photoshop CS to add type and such. I save very often to avoid lossing hard work, and I’m on a deadline with only a day and a half to get the ad ready for print….I had saved the file a few times and when saving Photoshop froze and kinda freaked, it would not respond, and when I clicked on file it would look like the name file would kinda vibrate…it didn’t shut down the computer but it wouldn’t respond and so I had to shut it down and restart the computer. I opened Photoshop CS back up after restart, it had not saved the last file I saved, it also would not open the last saved file of my ad, and would give me this error message; "Could not complete your request because of a program error.", and what’s worst is that I tried to open up other ad’s I had created in the past and it gives me this same error….I was lucky enough that I could open the file back in Photoshop 7.1 and finish my work this weekend to make the printer deadline…I hope someone out there can give me some idea what to do….the ad’s were saved in psd format and also in tiff format and also in pdf format but would not open any of them? I can’t figure it out, its like it blacklisted all my ad’s, not just the one I had trouble with, all the ad’s won’t open….it will open other files, it just won’t open the store ad’s that I had worked on in Photoshop CS….I did check and it would open an ad that I had created a few weeks ago, just not the last two ads and I assume that its because I worked on them or used them before the crash? Help!!!
