Hi all,

I am looking for a tutorial of how to animate a JPEG image of a flag using Photoshop 7 & Animate Shop 3. Can anyone help?

put picture of flag in a new document
make 2-3 duplicate layers
on each of them use some filter to distort>wave the flag jump to image ready
make extra frames (click little paper icon)
use little eyeballs to highlight different layers in each frame play with the time each frame is shown
press play to see how it looks as a gif
save optimized as….(animation doesn’t work in jpg format) save your psd document in layers if you want to edit it later

Hi Dave,

I have a tutorial on my site which shows how to animate a flag.

I used PS CS2 for the tutorial, but I think it should also apply to PS 7 and Imageready.
