I’m going through a tutorial now and one of the functions is to use the Lighting Effects Filter which is under Filter/Render. If you open this filter you will see "Styles" at the top. Mine is empty. How do I add the functions that are supposed to be there?
I’m using CS2, Windows XP home
Thanks

Maybe you should reinstall Photoshop, because they shouldn’t be empty.

Thanks I may do just that and go back to CS. I’ve had other problems with CS2 such as help not opening from time to time

If anyone if folling this thread the fix for this problem is below. It worked for me.

Q: My Lighting Effects presets are gone, and I can´t save my own presets either (PS7 reported).

A: This problem seems to be connected with Windows XP´s Indexing Service, in particular, when this service is turned OFF.

By default, the indexing service is turned ON when installing the WinXP OS, but many people turn it off, because indexing will slow disk operations.

However, it has been reported that the problem with Lighting Effects presets are resolved when re-enabling indexing for the Lighting Styles folder.
