Dear Fellow Photographers

We are The Venice School of Photography, and we specialise in running short workshops around Italy, with a collection of the world’s most respected professionals from organisations such as National Geographic, Contrasto, Magnum and VII.

In 2006, Nina will be running perhaps our most spectacular event – our Sicilian Easter Workshop. The workshop will travel to the West of Sicily during Easter time, where we will have the unique opportunity to shoot several of the islands most spectacular religious processions and festivals. Our workshop participants will have press-passes and so will be privileged to shoot behind the scenes too.

The Easter Processions in Sicily are what you might call a ‘photographer’s dream’. Perhaps more to the point, you could say that Sicily was a photographer’s paradise. It is a place full of emotion, culture, history, pride, passion, and at Easter time, the Sicilians show all of this. It’s a place where people ask you to take their picture, a place where the locals have a genuine interest in you, and a place where one can feel like a pioneer, seeing something for the first time.

The workshop also sees us visit historic monuments and medieval villages so that there is a good variety of photographic opportunity. Most days will involve being on location until early evening, at which point we do a image review session with Nina.

Accommodation is in a wonderful four star hotel in Trapani, and the entire experience will be one you would hold dear for the rest of your lives. This workshop is something that is perhaps best described by images, therefore, we welcome you to visit our website and look at the further details of this workshop here

The Workshop runs from April 11th – 17th 2006. Spaces are limited.

Thanks for your time, apologies for the unsolicited email, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions

Kind Regards
